IPS Mould Shields™ stop your parts from scattering randomly within the mould open space by keeping them within the desired “drop zone”.
Moldshields™ are a crystal clear plastic curtain which attaches to either side of the mold using magnets. As the mold opens and closes, the Moldshield™ expand and contract to provide a curtain that prevents molded parts from falling outside the drop zone. The crystal clear plastic allows you to observe your molding area, and monitor your parts production in progress. With an in-service life expectancy of 3 million cycles Moldshields™ have a rapid pay back based on scrap reduction and increased good production output. Since Moldshields™ are easily attached and removed as necessary, they can be quickly moved from press to press to meet changing production demands or simply removed in seconds for equipment maintenance purposes.

Mold Chutes stop your parts from scattering randomly in the “drop zone”. Mold Chutes ensure your parts land on your conveyor or in your packing case and not on the floor.
Mold Chutes are made of durable plastic with a PVC lining in the bottom to protect even the most delicate molding. The unique construction will not absorb oil or grease and is abrasion, puncture, and tear resistant. Each Mold Chute is easily cleaned using simple household cleaners and there are no concertina folds to trap moldings or dirt. Mold Chutes come in 18 standard sizes with in-line or side exit delivery chutes. Straight and Tapered Mold Skirts are available when you need to direct parts down onto a conveyor or into a box. The unique design of the right angle mold chute lets it attach to each mold half. As the mold opens and closes, the mouth of the chute opens and closes providing better protection from contaminants while the mold is closed. Conversely, In-line mold chutes are attached to the press frame and are static. An optional single Mold Shield can be attached to the chute and the movable mold half which will cover the chute opening providing protection from part contamination. All Mold Chutes can be attached to the machine using either magnets or custom support harnesses. Velcro straps allow precise adjustment of the chute to prevent loss of parts from uncontrolled ejection's.

Mold Soft Chutes stop your parts from scattering randomly in the “drop zone”. Mold Chutes ensure your parts land on your conveyor or in your packing case and not on the floor.
The unique design of the soft drop mold chute lets it attach under the mold As the mold opens your delicate parts fall gently into the Soft Drop chute and are slowly transferred on to the conveyor. Soft Drop chutes are designed for applications where delicate parts need to be transferred from your mold to your conveyor without scratching or marking them. In applications where you have multi cavity molds soft Drop chutes can be designed to keep parts separated further reducing damage. All Soft Drop Chutes can be attached to the machine using either magnets or custom support harnesses. Velcro straps allow precise adjustment of the chute to prevent loss of parts from uncontrolled ejection's.

Drum Covers prevent your raw material from becoming contaminated from air born dirt, dust, and other unwanted debris.
Drum covers are easy to install and remove and the universal sizing means fewer covers are required to fit a wider variety of drums. If you don't see a standard size that meets your needs, we will make one for you, including special sizes for your regrind applications. Wand openings in all covers have a zipper so they can be closed when not in use. They also have an elastic sock where the wand is inserted. In addition to the standard sizes, we will make special configurations to your precise requirements. We can add larger wand openings for regrind applications, multiple wand openings and special covers with no wand openings to protect yourstored material in-between jobs.

Tie Bar Cover

Why Tie Bar Covers? Most molders have been using them to protect their moldings from tie bar grease contamination. And it works too. We have recently found another reason. Tie bar covers also protect the machine from the moldings That's right. In-mould labeling is a hazard for tie bar bushings. Let a loose label get between the bushing and the tie bar and see how fast your bushings wear out. IPS offers covers made of tough, oil resistant polyester material with plastic zippers. They are attached to the movable platen using magnetic restraints and are attached to the tie bar at the stationary platen using a Velcro strap. Tie bar covers are offered in the following sizes: Tie bar cover length = platen maximum opening and must be specified when ordering. A complete set of tie bar covers contains 4 covers complete with all mounting hardware.
